4.2 Proposals

December 1997
Submitted initial 2 page proposal titled "Dual Force Reflective Hand Controllers for Cooperative Robotic Manipulation" to the NASA Telerobotics Intercenter Working Group (TRIWG).
The work proposed was to increase the level and complexity of tasks performable by currently existing and planned robotic systems by designing and building a high fidelity force reflective interface that would allow a human operator to simultaneously and cooperatively control a pair of manipulators.
The initial proposal was accepted, which called for a full proposal (see below).

January 1998
Submitted 10 page proposal titled "Dual Force Reflective Hand Controllers for Cooperative Robotic Manipulation" to the NASA Telerobotics Intercenter Working Group (TRIWG). Shortly after the proposal was submitted, the budget for all proposals for that year was reduced to zero. I like to think that the proposal would have been accepted.
